Our Programs & Committees

Leading Ladies

The Leading Ladies committee is a program dedicated to increasing the number of women & girls in appointed and elected political offices. Currently less than 16% percent of the United States Congress is female. Our Leading Ladies program trains women on all aspects of running a political campaign.

Mondays over the Summer -
Join the Leading Ladies at Atomic Coffee in Fargo on May 14, June 4,
June 25, and July 9 to discuss how to engage women in politics in the
area.  Help to plan events and share in the dialogue.  All are
invited.

Community Health Education

The Community Health Education Committee is a committee made up of other agencies and individuals in the community working on women’s health options, so women can make the right choices based on their family values. This includes education, community outreach, awareness, options, and research.

Join us at the WNRRV office on June 7, 2007 at 6:00 pm to discuss
what women's health issues are not being appropriately addressed in
our community.  This is an open event for women in the community to
share concerns and thoughts about how the WNRRV can get involved and take the lead on women's health education.

Get Out the Vote

This committee convenes each summer and plans it’s fall "Get Out the Vote" campaign. The purpose is to mobilize women to vote, and to educate them on where each candidate stands on the current issues. The younger voter is usually the voter we want to engage, as studies show this group is least likely to vote in elections.

Emerging Issues Committee

Each year, there seems to be an emerging issue within the city, county, state or federal government. This committee seeks out issues that are most pressing to women during the year and focuses their efforts on education and organizing around that issue in order to mobilize the women of our communities, to make system changes.
