About Us and Our History
The Women’s Network of the Red River Valley is committed to developing an anti-racist identity, because we support equity and equality for ALL girls and women.
Our History:
We sponsor anti-oppression trainings for members who are interested in working toward a world of equality.
The Women’s Network was incorporated in 1984 and has since been primarily run by volunteers. It has provided a number of programs and events, including:
Girl’s Council; In a Woman’s Voice art exhibition:
The Education and Action Campaign to Address the Impact of the Sex Industry in Rural Areas.
We are proud to be a part of the women’s liberation movement because we believe in and promote women's rights to:
Equal Opportunities, Equal Pay, Intellectual Respect, Physical and Emotional Safety, Free Sexual Expression, and Reproductive Choices.
